What kind of restaurants is OutletPilot built for?
Multi-outlet brands, cloud kitchens, QSRs, cafes, dine-ins, bakeries, and franchise networks. If you run more than one counter or one kitchen, you'll feel the difference within 24 hours. Single-outlet operators also use the Starter tier — same product, smaller plan.
Which countries do you operate in?
18 and growing. How does the customer-facing PilotEats QR ordering work?
Every outlet gets four QR variants from the admin: a general menu QR (table tents, posters), a kiosk QR (counter-mounted tablet with auto-loop), a takeaway / pickup QR (separate pay-and-collect flow), and a per-table QR (table number pre-filled for Pay At Table). Customers see the restaurant's own logo + outlet branding; PilotEats is the subtle 'powered by' surface underneath. Variants and add-ons are picked in a customise sheet before checkout.
Can the same email be an admin in one company AND an employee in another?
Yes. OutletPilot uses per-workspace email uniqueness — the same email creates an independent user row per company with its own role, password, and permissions. Login on companyA.outletpilot.com signs you in as Company A's record; login on companyB.outletpilot.com uses Company B's record. Apex domain login shows a workspace picker. Permissions cannot leak across tenants.
Does it work offline if my internet is patchy?
Yes. OutletPilot POS, PilotKDS, and PilotEats queue orders, KOTs, and payments offline and auto-sync when the connection is back. The Monitoring dashboard flags any device with a pending sync queue so the owner knows instantly. Most outlets never even notice an outage.
What devices do I need? Do I have to buy your hardware?
Any Android tablet (9+) for OutletPilot POS / PilotKDS / PilotEats, an Android phone for PilotStaff, a thermal receipt printer (network or Bluetooth, 58mm or 80mm ESC-POS), and a browser for PilotHQ or OutletPilot Insights. We help you pick — zero hardware lock-in. Most brands reuse what they have.
Do you support GST, VAT, and local tax modes?
Yes — every region. India GST (5/12/18/28 slabs with HSN codes), EU VAT (standard + reduced for food), UK VAT, US state sales tax, GCC VAT (Saudi 15%, UAE / Bahrain / Oman 5%), Singapore GST, Malaysia SST, Indonesia PPN, Philippines / Thailand VAT — all configurable per outlet AND per menu category for multi-slab menus (e.g. food 5% / alcohol 18%). Per-outlet tax label is also localised (GST, VAT, MwSt, TVA, IVA, BTW, PPN…). TCS / TDS handling for Indian finance reports, plus GST/VAT-ready CSV export.
Which payment providers can my customers use?
All paste-key, no platform fee on settlement. India: Razorpay (UPI + cards + netbanking), Cashfree (UPI + cards + payment links), Pine Labs / Mosambee (card terminals). US / UK / EU / AU / NZ / CA: Stripe Connect with Apple Pay + Google Pay + ACH. GCC: Tap Payments (Apple Pay + Mada + Knet + cards). SEA: Xendit (GoPay + OVO + GCash + local cards + QR). Money settles directly to your local bank — OutletPilot is never in the money flow. PilotCore takes a small platform fee per transaction (configurable per tenant).
How does the loyalty wallet and customer CRM work?
Every paid order auto-earns 1 loyalty point per ₹100 spent. Cashiers can redeem points or wallet balance at payment. Admins can top up wallets manually with optional bonus credit (e.g., ₹500 paid → ₹550 credited). Every change writes to an immutable customer ledger that you can audit anytime.
Can I run multiple outlets, brands, and a central kitchen together?
Yes. Outlets, partner brands, central kitchens and cloud kitchens are first-class entities. One menu can be rolled out across the network with per-outlet pricing or availability overrides. Recipes, SOPs and audit policies cascade from HQ down to every outlet automatically.
How is my data secured? Where does it live?
Hosted on managed infrastructure in India (with EU / US options for enterprise). Role-based access, audit logs for every sensitive action, encrypted backups, owner-safe JSON exports anytime. Sensitive secrets (passwords, payment gateway keys) are never exported. DPDP and GDPR compliant.
What's the onboarding like? How long until we're live?
Most single-outlet brands go live in 24–48 hours. Multi-outlet rollouts get a dedicated onboarding manager and typically launch in 7–10 days. We don't bill you while you're in trial. Setup Wizard handles 80% of the work — company, outlets, tables, printer, team, starter menu.
Can my franchise partners use it independently?
Yes. Each franchisee sees their own outlets, staff, finance, and reports — fully isolated. Brand HQ retains menu, recipe, SOP and audit visibility across the network. Franchise royalty / revenue-share can be automated from monthly sales data.
I'm already on Petpooja / Posist / urbanPiper. Can I migrate?
Yes. We migrate menu, customers, vendors, and historical orders from common Indian POS systems and any CSV export. You keep your old system running until you're confident with OutletPilot — usually 5–7 days of parallel running, then full cutover.
Do you charge per user, per device, or per outlet?
Only per outlet, billed per year. Unlimited devices and unlimited staff users per outlet — keep adding cashiers, captains, chefs, kiosks, and managers without thinking about seats or device licenses. No printer license fee, no audit-module upsell.
